First of all realism is always important so why make a big deal about a book that is doing the same thing that movies are doing, trying to make everything be and look as real as it can be. mark taiwn wrote the N word beacasue he wanted it to be as realistic as he could and in my point of viw he made it possible. movie makers now in days spend a lot of money on special effects and that because they just like mark taiwn they want their movies to be as realistic as possible. there is no harm in that.
african-americans might be the ones who get offended the most when they have to read this book and have to pronounce the word that is ment to harm them the most rite. well if this word might hurt them so much then why are they the one saying all the time. in my point of view i wouldnt call anyone a "wet back" which is suppose to be derogatory word towards latinos specially mexican because i am showing that it is ok to say it. every time a new songs comes out writen by are sang by african-americans the word that has to be there well its non other thatn the "n" word. so how can they sing it and say it but they cant read it.
Reading the boook the adventures of huck finn is actually like being back in the days and every word in the book makes it possible.

1)His thesis is basically stating that Mark Twain was trying to be as real as he could, and using the N word would cause that effect.
ReplyDelete2)To prove his thesis he talks about how the n word was defined, and the definition of the word.
3)Yes, he does a good job using his personal opinions of what he might get called because of his race.
4)Yes, he states how the african americans might take this the wrong way and might get offended, but then again they themselves usse this word with eachother.
5)Maybe you can use qoutes from the book.
6)He has a really good one alredy.
7)Good job.
