Racisim?
even with a colored president their is still plenty of racismim out there and we can see it everywhere that go. For example when i walk into a store the first thing that i notices is that almost all of the employees eyes are on me or on other colored people, and to me thats racisim right there beacuse if they where to see me equel to them than why would they be keeping and eye out on me. More examples is when we hear the news about police brutality the only people who always end up hurt are black males or hispanics. the same happends with sexism its always going to be around but their are always ways to hide it for example over the spring break i had to do a project for econ and i came across a studying showing that females with the same education still get paid less than a male and their their excuse for it is tha females get pregnant so they loose their senority. to me rasism is always going to be around and thats because we never tackle the problems that started it all we do is make fun and jokes about it. racismim may be at a low level right know but that doesnt mean that it wont get back up.

I really agree with you. I also believe that racism is always goin to exist. People that work at stores do single you out if you are from a different race, and i have seen it happen many times. It just really sux because people shouldnt do that! But you really had good points and good peronal examples to.
ReplyDeleteTotally right!!! Racism is still an issue and I think that it will always be. Maybe it sounds to negative, but in reality we see that this is something people are always pointed out and making comments about it. I agree with you in the fact that only certain people get treated worst than others. I strongly belief that even when you are not doing anything wrong you are still being observe only because of what you look like and where you are form.
ReplyDeleteI agree to your point, it is really a problem in our society even now. Dealing with it is even worse. It is really sad when people are categorizing other people this way. But you know what, don't dwell about it. Don't put yourself below other people and don't make them control you. So what if they follow you all over the store, they will just prove themselves they are wrong. Right!?:)

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that there is still a problem with race in our society today. I know what you mean about people of color get followed in stores because it happens to me all the time. I also think that racism is always going to be a problem in our society because if its not one race that is being looked down upon it is another.
